The 41st anniversary of a social movement for caste-horoscope-dowryless love marriage was celebrated by the Anti-caste Marriage and One-child Family Organisation of India (AMOFOI) here on Wednesday. The event chaired by Free Thought Party of India chief Dr Bijayananda Kar initiated a discussion, where guests stressed on the need for casteless and secular love marriage system across the country. And, for this the Government must establish model public school and love marriage centre at each gram panchayat, said AMOFOI secretary B Ramachandra CST Voltaire.
Guests, including professor J Parikhit, educationist Nirmala Mohapatra, Odisha Eunuchs’ Association president Pratap Sahoo, columnist Tusharkant and noted advocate Kshirod Rout, among others, participated in the discussion and called upon the youths to come forward and build a secular society based on religion of humanity. On the occasion, a book titled Freedom from Fear and God, Fraud and Religion, authored by Voltaire was released.
