PNS

The Odisha Bidyut  Shramika Karmachari Engineers Ekata Mancha in a Press meet on Wednesday threatened to launch agitation and cease work from January 1 protesting the hurry with which the distribution companies like Southco and Wesco were going to be sold to Tata Power and the anti public, anti consumer and anti employee steps of the Tata Power.

The Mancha alleged that violating Cesu recruitment rules, the TPCODL has started the process of recruitment of employees and engineers without specifying name of the post, grade, pay and allowances and job requirement.

It is also under great doubt , whether the TPCODL board has approved such recruitment and the OERC approval is obtained.Though the Ekata Mancha has time and again drawn the attention of management to stop such type of illegal recruitment and anti employee steps, the management has not stopped such activities, it alleged.

The demands of the Mancha include withdrawal of all outsiders appointed in TPCODL forthwith; stopping the present illegal recruitment process in violation of recruitment rules of Cesu and instead recruit only at the base level vacant posts of each cadre strictly following recruitment rules and process and first give permanent employment to the contractual and outsourced employees; creating new posts in each cadre as per yardstick , norm and workload and making a fresh man power restructuring plan; withdrawing a petition filed in the OERC seeking review of the provision protecting the service conditions of erstwhile employees of Cesu; giving all facilities and opportunity to the family members of TPCODL employees who are succumbing to death affected by Covid; cancelling the vesting order of Cesu in public interest and stopping vesting any other company further to any company.
