Following the arrest of two of its train ticket examiners (TTEs) recently, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has exhorted its TTEs to perform duties as per rules without any fear or pressure. In a Press release, the ECoR authorities clarified that the two TTEs who were arrested and already released on bail are the best among the ticket checking staff and working in Chief Commercial Manager’s (CCM) Ticket Checking squad.
“They are trained to be polite, efficient and exemplary. They work in the name of Chief Commercial Manager and they understand their responsibilities. What has come up in newspapers and electronic media is not only damaging the spirit of the said two staff but also to the image of East Coast Railway as a whole,” stated the release. Notably, the Bhubaneswar Government Railway police on Wednesday arrested Dibakar Biswal and Kamal lochan Mishra of the CCM Ticket Checking squad for assaulting two students during ticket checking.
