Quality early childhood care and development (ECCD) bears a lot for prevention of child labour, observed Committee for legal Aid for Poor (ClAP) president Dr Bikash Das here at a State-level consultation to mark the World Day against Child labour on Wednesday.
“If zero to six years of children are provided proper early childhood care and development, a child labour-free society is possible,” said Das.
Members of various civil society organisations and the Forum for Crèche and Child Care Services (FORCES) participated in the consultation programme and laid emphasis on holistic development of young children.
