E-registration a farce at Umarkote Sub-Registrar office

PNS

People harassed on technical fault with computers

In order to make hassle-free registration, the State Government has introduced e-registration processes. But it is perceived the opposite in the office of the Sub-Registrar, Umarkote.

People visiting here have been facing delays in getting their documents registered because of technical problems plaguing the system since the registration process went online.

Beside significantly that the Tehsildar who is also in-charge of the Sub-Registrar here most of the time remains absent or found busy in revenue works makes the problem worse.

“I have been coming here for the last three months with my clients. But most likely I will have to visit the office again. Every day, the server fails or the computer slows down after 15 minutes,” said advocate Kamal Gain.

Similar is the problem at the Tehsil office here, even after transmission of Form no: 3 from the Sub-Registrar office, the officials hardly initiate mutation proceeding  though there is a statutory instruction circulated by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department to all Collectors for suo motto initiation of mutation cases on automatic transmission of Form no 3 from the Sub Registrar through the e-registration system.  Failure to take up mutation after receipt of Form no-3

will be viewed as gross negligence and dereliction of duties attracting departmental action against the revenue officials under the relevant provisions of the CCA (OCS)

Rules. Nobody bothers about the circular as the initiation of mutation all depends upon the mercy of the dealing clerk of the Tehsil office, said advocate of Umarkote Bar Prasant Sahu.
