Duped investors to stage rally in city on June 10

Demanding return of their deposited money duped by different chit fund firms in the State, the Arthika Sansthamanankadwara Kshatigrastanka Milita Mancha (ASKMM) would stage massive rally in the city on June 10.

Mancha president Jayanta Das on Sunday said the State Cabinet in the month of April had decided to return investors’ money within one and a half months, but nothing happened within the deadline. “Even a single investor didn’t get his/her money back within the timeframe,” Das said.

Das said the CBI inquiry in the State has been slowed down mysteriously during last three months. Out of 175 chit fund firms, properties of only 11 companies have been attached. If the Government doesn’t attach properties of fraud firms, how investors will get their deposited money back,” said Das.

He said they had staged rally at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi in December last year demanding return of investors’ money. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had assured them to look into the matter, but nothing happened till date, he added.

“The State Government has to survey the numbers of duped investors in tehsil-level to get exact number. After getting the exact data, the State should take step to return their money,” said Das.
