Over 100 villagers of Kadalipal village in Dhenkanal district demonstrated at the lower PMG in Bhubaneswar under the leadership of farmer leader Debashisha Hota. They demanded full displacement of the villagers with employment for the affected families in the proposed OTPCl plant. Notably, the OTPCl has notified to acquire 139 acres of farmland of Annapurnapur-B (Kadalipal) under Kamakhyanagar tehsil. However, a patch of land of 25 acres with human settlements has been skipped. The farmers demanded the acquisition of the 25 acres of land as well.
