The Rotary International is the only global body of welfare to work for development of education, health and friendship among humanity across the borders of every nation, said District Governor of Rotary District-3262 Brigadier Narayan Nayak during his visit to the Rotary Club of Banpur-Balugaon at Barkul on Wednesday.
At a function presided over by local Rotary Club president Bijaya Ku Behera, former president Dr Jogindernath Patra inducted Bijayalaxmi Behera, Dr Sampika Mohapatra and Sukadev Behera as new members of the club.
Club secretary Dhirendranath Patra read out the annual achievement report and Dr Madhab Chandra Ransingh delivered the welcome address and former president Omprakash Agrawal offered a vote of thanks.
Among others, Assistant Governor Pramod Pattanik and former District Governor Dr Narayan Mishra were present. The club’s souvenir Salia was also released. .
