The Commissionerate Police on Friday broke open the rented house of dreaded criminal Sushant Dhalsamant and Sushil Dhalsamanat in Visakhapatnam and reportedly seized a gun, 35 rounds of bullets, a computer and some important information about the murder of Dipu Mallik aalegedly by the gangster siblings.
Sources said that the team got a photograph of Mallick and his driving licence during the search operation. A team of the Commissionerate Police along with the local police raided the house after a local court in Vizag gave its nod.
As the Dhalsamant brothers are not cooperating in the interrogation, the police have been struggling hard to extract information from them about their activities and links particularly in the Dipu murder case.
The investigation officials have already recorded the statements of Dipu’s father Adwita Mallick, and some other key witnesses.
However, Commissioner of Police YB Khurania said there was credible circumstantial evidence against the gangster brothers and efforts were on to collect more evidence to ensure a logical end to the case.
