Dispelling apprehensions about possible delay in disbursement of allowances to beneficiaries under its different pension schemes in view of the cash crunch in the wake of demonetisation, the State Government on Monday announced that it would disburse allowances to beneficiaries across all categories on Tuesday.
Allowances would be disbursed to about 35 lakh beneficiaries covering old age, widow and disability categories on Tuesday, informed Finance Secretary Tuhin Kant Pandey.
The Government has earmarked Rs140 crore for disbursement of the allowances to the beneficiaries, clarified Pandey.
