The number of dengue-afflicted persons in the State this season has crossed the 1,000-mark with identification of fresh 30 positive cases across the State on Friday.
With fresh cases of dengue, the number of afflicted has jumped to 1,002, according to Directorate of Public Health sources.
Still, Baleswar district tops the list in identification of dengue-hit persons with 161 testing positive for the virus.
Second to it is Bhadrak district with 150 positive cases while Jagatsinghpur and Cuttack districts have identified 130 and 110, respectively.
Officially, the death toll in the disease has been put at one this season.
