The Yuva Odisha organised a public rally raising the long-pending demand of Special Category State status for Odisha at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Monday.
The rally was stated to an unprecedented one by Odias in the national capital. It was addressed by political leaders of Odisha and representatives of Odia communities in Delhi. The speakers included MPs Prasanna Patasani, Sashi Bhusan Behera, Mohan Jena, Rabi Narayan Mohapatra and Bijayant Panda and Bhubaneswar MlA Ashok Panda and Nimapada MlA Sameer Ranjan Das.
Yuva Odisha president Tejeswar Parida declared to organise a larger rally of Odias shortly at the Ram lila Ground in Delhi against the Centre’s apathetic treatment towards Odisha.
