After six months of training at the Urban Police and Traffic Training Institute here, as many as 490 OAPF passed out from the centre at the parade. Out of them, a total of 381 will be posted as regular constables in the twin city.

Addressing the recruits DGP Mishra hoped that they would discharge their duties in protecting the State with all honesty and sincerity. These constables have been taught to handle bomb disposal cases,  drill, scientific related training, weapon handling, map reading, karate, battle craft, field craft, internal security, border security and disaster management, besides training on  IPCs and CrPCs,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Training) Sarat Chandra Bisoyi.
