The three-day Nyay Yatra (March for Justice) left Odisha and proceed to Chhattisgarh on Sunday evening covering Rourkela and Rajgangpur on a bright note.

Earlier the Nyay Rath was welcomed at Baleswar, Bhadrak, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. The 34-day long yatra is organised by Forum for Fast Justice, Mumbai.

National convenor of the forum Praveen Patel is leading the team which will cover 14 States before culminating at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. The yatra evoked enthusiastic response in the morning at the court premises of ADJ where a lok Adalat was underway to settle bank loans.

Borrowers ill-treated by the banks ventilated their grievances before the Nyay Yatra activists. lok Adalats are but means for compromises between the disputing parties where justice is killed, the activists said and appealed to them to join the Fast Justice movement for judicial reforms.

“The important pillar of democracy unless made strong and vibrant, the common men cannot benefit from the prolonged judgment delivery system,” said Society for Fast Justice, Sundargarh unit president Baidyanath Mishra.

Advocate Ananta Narayan Sahoo, Swarup Mishra, Pitabas Mishra and Ashok Sahoo guided the team members at Rourkela before they were seen off at Vedavyas.
