The Rehabilitation Committee for Energy Department Distressed Families of Deceased Employees demanded CBI inquiry into the irregularities committed by OPTCl (HRD) Director Santanu Kumar Rath. The Committee also decried Energy Department’s lackadaisical attitude in ensuring jobs to the kin of deceased energy employees.
In an emergency meeting here on Sunday, the kin of the deceased employees of Gridco, OPTCl and OHPC who had died on duty decried the concerned authorities’ apathetic attitude in giving them job under rehabilitation scheme. Despite recruiting the kin of the deceased employees as per law, the OPTCl Director Rath along with some of other officials are busy in outsourcing manpower thereby committing irregularities of crores of rupees, said Committee president Surendra Kumar Swain.
