--Master Plan for infra development soon: OSD: “My priority is to remove the encroachment of the land DD University which has spread over an area of 57.14 acre and have a total master plan by engaging a reputed architecture before going for any construction works,” said Dharani Dhar University OSD Dr PK Mohanty in a Press meet on Saturday after he assumed charge on August 8.
Dr Mohanty himself a Professor of Marine Science who has retired from Berhampur University as Chairman PG Council further told that his endeavor will be to see the institution as a Centre of Excellence by imparting quality education with the help of experienced and knowledgeable faculty staff both from inside and outside and providing other facilities to students who can serve better for the nation and the State as well.
He also did not forget to take the name of PK Jena, Chief Secretary who is an alumnus of the university when it was a college.
He also emphasized on providing vocational education which will suit the industry -and mines- rich Keonjhar district.
Registrar Narendra Kumar Sahoo and Chairman, PG Council Dr Satyabrata Mishra among others spoke. PRO Prof Sudhakar Dash conducted the program.
