Parents, guardians and children of the DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur here on Monday celebrated the Parents’ Day in recognising, uplifting and supporting the role of parents in bringing up the children.
The programme, entitled ‘Aarohan’, began with a welcome note of school Principal Dr KC Satapathy. Justice Dipak Misra of Supreme Court joined as chief guest. The chief guest and the school management enriched the parents about good parenting and told them to give quality time to their children.
Justice Misra said the DAV institutions across the country are serving as a mission in different spheres of education to arrain the dream of Swami Dayanand. Guest Suprama Mishra said parents need to give their children opportunity to develop their talents.
The little angels of the school dressed in white, began the programme with prayer through a dance thanking God for giving a good family and for the parents’ blessings.
The little kids sang melodious songs in different languages and danced beautifully.
To keep the parents active and entertained, the school organized some spots for them. The distinguished dignitaries along with the coordinator awarded the young talents who had secured positions in speech and singing competitions held during the month.
