The Rath Yatra was celebrated with great fanfare in Tarbha. Thousands of devotees congregated o witness the lords during their annual sojourn from various places. Urban and Housing Development Minister Niranjan Pujari also visited the lords on July 16. The famous Upayana is going on everyday and attracting attention of devotees. Here devotees are offering sweets, fruits and special dishes to lord Jagannath.
The Dashavatar of lord Jagannath is observed for ten days at Tarbha, which remains a special attraction of the festival.
The weather has also remained favourable so far. It may attract more devotees to the town. Meanwhile, the administration has tightened security in the locality.
