The mahurat of upcoming Odia movie Dafa 376 IPC was held at the Siridi Sai temple here last week with Information & Public Relations Minister Arun Sahu as chief guest unveiling the film’s script.
Veteran actor and director Prashant Nanda gave the clap for the mahurat shot. You Can Odisha chief Sneha Mishra and the film’s director BK Mishra were present along with the movie’s lead actor newcomer Aryan and lead actress Anuvasaurya.
Produced under the banner of OM Creation, the movie is being produced by Truptiranjan Das while the directorial responsibility rests on debutante Shiba Mohanty. Music is being composed by Bibhutibhusan.
The film’s theme revolves around a true story: In India, a woman is raped every 54 minutes; eve-teasing takes place every 51 minutes and molestation every 26 minutes. So, this is considered a great step by an Odia producer and director to make a film on this sensitive subject to bring awareness among people of Odisha.
