One Bilash Chandra Rout (35), son of social activist Gopal Chandra Roul of Bhuban, though had died due to sunstroke under Jajpur district’s Panikoili police limit on May 24, 2015, reportedly the victim family has not received due compensation even as three years have elapsed.
The Panikoili police after receiving a public phone call hadrescued Bilash lying on road in a critical condition, due to excessive heat and hospitalized him at Jajpur. However, the doctors had declared Bilash as brought dead.
After verifying all documents, the State Special Relief Commissioner though has directed the district Collector of Jajpur to provide appropriate financial support to the victim family, the district administration of Jajpur has so far paid a deaf ear.
