The Siya Paribar organised the Nuankhai Bhetghat on Wednesday to remember the rich culture ofd western Odisha and strengthen bond of love among people here.
Humorist Sushanta Mishra, western Odisha comedy king Jogesh Jojo, comedy actress Bhumi and other actors and actresses performed.
VIMSAR Director Dr Aswini Pujari joined as chief guest, while the chief speaker was former Vice Chancellor Dr Sadhucharan Panda. Among others, Dr Prafulla Ratha, social worker Dr Shankar Ram Chandani, Birmaharajpur SDPO Dhiroj Chopdar and Sublaya IIC Hemant Rao were present.
The inauguration set off a day long cultural extravaganza. Sambalpuri dances by kids on popular songs stole the show. They were performing from Atal Bihari Panda’s movie Aadim Bichar-Likri Jhikri, which earned thunderous applause from the audience.
