The Manav Adhikar Suraksha Manch held a Gantha Yatra along with demonstration here for 47th time demanding availability of all required modern facilities in all hospitals here.
The Manch submitted a 10-point charter of demands to the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Southern Division) after the demonstration. The demands include early identification of land and beginning of construction work for the proposed Rs 12-crore AYUSH Hospital, converting Red Cross Hospital into the Child and Mother Welfare Hospital, early operationlisation of the Cancer and Chemotherapy Department in the City Hospital and installation of CT scan and X-ray machines in the City Hospital and the MKCG Medical College Hospital.
Among others, Mancha convenor Abani Kumar Gaya, Shyamsundar Khadanga, Surendra Nath Panda, Ramesh Behera, Maheshwar Badatiya, Dwarikanath Ghadei, Maguni Nahak, Bijay Chandra Bisoyi, Monoj Tarai and Pravat Kiran Sadangi were present.
