Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, 5T Secretary VK Pandian and Sports Special Secretary Vineel Krishna on Tuesday visited the BPUT campus here to take stock of the proposed project site of a world-class hockey stadium.
After completion, it would be the largest hockey stadium in the country of international standards with a sitting capacity for 20,000 spectators.The construction would be completed by middle of 2022. The design of the stadium is being made keeping in view the world-class experience to be provided to both the hockey players and spectators. This stadium would have a main pitch, flood lights, a practice pitch, gymnasium, hydro therapy, a media centre, a wireless centre, parking lots and other ultramodern facilities.
