The Fourth Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Rayagada under the leadership of Commandant MK Sharma celebrated New Year here in a novel way on Friday.
“When the entire district was rejoicing with fun, feast and congregations, our committed paramilitary force decided to go beyond the traditional role of keeping law and order and part with their valuable time and resources with the destitute of the town,” said Sharma.
Sharma with Second-in-Commandants MK Sicon and Bobby Singh, Deputy Commandants KS Giri and Niranjan Sahoo and Assistant Commandants Dhiraj Sithole and Ajay Kumar visited the Seva Samaj orphanage and the Shakti old age home and celebrated the New Year with orphan girl children and old age persons. They presented them bunches of gifts.
