A day after he was found to have accumulated disproportionate assets (DA) to the tune of Rs2.60 crore which he could not provide any account for, Vigilance sleuths on Thursday arrested tainted Phulbani District Mining Officer (DMO) Prafulla Kumar Sethy on charges of amassing DA. The anti-graft body too has seized a gold biscuit weighing around 447 gms and 500 gm of silver ornaments, among other valuables from his bank locker on house here. Besides, the Vigilance sleuths got to know that more than Rs5 lakh had been kept in his name in various banks and post offices. Meanwhile, Vigilance oficials detained his brother-in-law. On Wednesday, Vigilance sleuths had traced total moveable and immovable property of Sethy worth Rs2,60,73,815.
