The Crime Branch (CB) police on Saturday arrested two poachers from inside the Bamra forest in Sambalpur district in connection with the killing of a wild tuskerr ecently.
Talking to reporters here, Crime Branch ADG BK Sharma said the CB police, acting on a tip-off, raided the forest range and arrested the poachers, who would be forwarded to the Kuchinda court later in the day.
“We have seized guns and explosives from the duo,” Sharma added.The State Government had directed the Crime Branch to probe into the killing of wild tusker in the Kuchinda forest range recently. The CB had formed two teams to nab thepoachers with the help of forest officials.
