Demanding arrest of the persons who have obtained Government plots and flats illegally and also the Ministers and officers involved in allotting these plots and flats, the Communist Party of India (CPI) staged a demonstration and Rasta Roko here on Sunday.
Party members led by zone secretary Sura Jena came in a procession from the CPI State headquarters to the Rajmahal Square, where they staged the demonstration. They also demanded a CBI probe into the land scam. CPI National Council member Ramakrushna Panda, zone joint secretary Kailash Puhana and women leaders Basanti Pradhan and laxmi Nayak lead the demonstration.
