In the past decade, the Commissionerate police (CP) has gone from strength to strength in professionalism to tackle law and order issues, crime detection and making itself people-friendly policing. As the challenges are growing, the Commissionerate Police also requires to grow with the same pace, said DGP RP Sharma here on Wednesday at a function to celebrate the Commissionerate police 10th Raising Day here.
“I hope that under the leadership of present Commissioner of Police and all the able officers of the Commissionerate Police,
it would certainly strive to meet the challenges thrown at it,” Sharma said. Speaking to the mediapersons, Commis-sioner of Police YB Khurania informed, “Nowadays, the criminals are computer savvy and lot of crimes are taking place relating to internet information technology and for dealing with that we required specialisation units.
So my first priority would be having a Cyber Crime police station in the Commissionerate,” said Khurania.
