In view of the rising Covid-19 cases, the State Government on Friday directed officials to ramp up vaccination and boost health infrastructures among other measures to battle the pandemic.
“Vaccination of co-morbid categories should be stepped up on a war footing,” Health Secretary Pradipta Mohapatra urged the district Collectors, Municipal Commissioners and CDMOs and PHOs.
Mohapatra said the required number of beds with oxygen facilities in District Headquarters Hospitals and medical college hospitals should be kept in readiness for immediate use of Covid patients.
Other categories of isolation beds in ICU, HDU, dialysis and labour room should also be kept ready for immediate use of patients.
He said private hospitals of the districts should also be kept in readiness for immediate use with short notice. “Adequate stocks of medicine like Flavipiravir, Remdisivir should be maintained at district level to meet the demand at local level,” Mohapatra said.
“District teams should be reoriented on the SOP for treatment of patients under home isolation, and the same should be followed without fail,” he added. Mohapatra also pointed out that the Rapid Response Teams should undertake periodic visits to patients under home isolation as per the SOP.
