The Kranti Odisha on Thursday applauded women of the Haladipadia slum here, who scuffled with police and injured some of them recently, stating that they showed rare courage to fight against injustice.
“Presently, women are usually being tortured and facing injustice. Most of them don’t muster up courage to raise their voice against injustice and, hence, continue to suffer. But, the way Haladipadia basti women raised their voice is really praiseworthy. Each of them is really a true struggler,” said Kranti Odisha vice-president Namita Pal in a statement.
She too conveyed her greetings to these women and opined that women who raise voice against injustice can change anti-socials to good human beings and, thus, help bring changes in the country.
