PNS

The reported marriage of Pratima Sahu, a young Brahmakumari devotee, with Pakistan national Mohmmad Yasin Mohmmad has led to an apprehension that mere love cannot be the sole reason behind the cross border wedding and there may be something more behind it.

After the news spread, local Brahmakumari centre at laltikra informed police that a wing of the institution at Gandhinagar Pada run by one Premlata is not a recognised one and that Premlata had been expelled from organisation since June, 2004. She had been expelled by the then head of Brahmakumari Dadi Praksh Mani.

According to reports, Pratima and Premlata had applied for passport on Tatkal basis and had got it in 2013. Meanwhile, Bolangir police are investigating the whole affair. “We are looking into the all aspects of the incident including reports of fund transfer to bank account,” said SP Ravi Praksh.
