Social welfare organisation House of Nature, Environment and Society Trust (HONEST) organised its annual prize distribution ceremony here on Tuesday. Chairing the event, HONEST director trustee SN Patro stressed on the need for coordination between nature, environment, society and culture for sustainable development and formation of an ideal society.
Besides, experts shared their views on subjects like respect to women in the society, healthcare through yoga, public awareness on protection and proper management of nature and environment. On the occasion, the Bharatiya Yog Sansthan, Odisha Pranta was conferred with the Best Institution of 2015 Award for its contribution to social service through yoga education. Similarly, environmental scientist Dr Birendra Prasad Upadhyay, who works in the Ministry of Environment and Forest, was honoured with the Best Personality of 2015 Award for his contribution to protection of environment, forest and wildlife.
