The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) and Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies (NCDS) jointly hosted a three-day 53rd annual conference of the Indian Econometric Society (IES) which began on December 22 here.
Vice Chairman of NITI Ayog Professor Arvind Panagariya delivered the keynote address in the conference and President of IES Professor Bandi Kamaiah delivered the presidential address.
Prof Panagariya elaborated role of NITI Ayog in cooperative and competitive federalism. He also elaborated the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to change the attitude of the Indian bureaucracy.
