The Ever Green Forum organised an Odisha Youth Conclave at the Jayadev Bhawan here on Tuesday. National Youth Project State Convenor Madhusudan Das inaugurated the event and said the importance of youth for the development of society.
A panel discussion was also held on theme ‘Youth and Employment’. The contractual appointment systems in the State is one of the reasons of unemployment here, said PCC vice-president Pradip Majhi. The youth should come forward and get benefit from the skill development programmes, he added.
A total of 17 youth achievers from different fields of the State were conferred with ‘Odisha Youth Award’ and 33 young talents got ‘Swami Vivekanand Prariva Puraskar’ for their excellent performance in various cultural activities.
A souvenir Yuva was released on the occasion.
Indian Red Cross Society State Branch Secretary Dr Chakradhar Panda and NSS Regional Director Pradeep Kumar Patnaik also spoke. Ever Green Forum president Prakash Chandra Jena presided over the meeting.
