Kandhamal district’s conjoined boys Jaga-Balia (Honey and Singh), who are undergoing treatment at the AIIMS, New Delhi, suffered from fever after several days of their first surgery.

The twins were down with fever for the past three days. However, their health condition is now good, informed AIIMS sources. Having fever after a surgery is normal, said a member of a team of doctors who conducted the surgery for 20 long hours on August 28. The next surgery is expected in mid-November to separate the conjoined heads.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had sanctioned Rs 1 crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for treatment of the twins.
