More than 10,000 workers of the Odisha Pradesh Sevadal would congregate in the capital city on the Congress foundation day.
This was announced at a Sevadal Pratijna function here on Tuesday. Inaugurating the function virtually, Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik said the Congress Sevadal has a glorious history in the State.
In 1932, Dr Harekrushna Mahtab was in-charge of this organisation. From Acharya Harihar to Ma Rama Devi, Dalagobinda Pradhan, Bhabani Charan Patnaik, many other illustrious sons have contributed to the growth of the Sevadal over a long period of time.
“On the current year’s foundation day of the Congress in the State, the Sevadal has decided to spread the message of Mahatma Gandhi and Utkal Pradesh’s first Congress president Utkalmani Gopabandhu Dash at the gram panchayat level. I welcome that”, said Patnaik, adding that the PCC would provide all support to the Sevadal in its endeavour.The function was presided over by Pradesh Sevadal chairman Aryakumar Jnanendra.
