The Congress on Wednesday announced that its workers across the State would take up voluntary work to reach out to and help Covid-19 victims and their families on June 19, the birthday of former AICC president Rahul Gandhi.
In a Press release, PCC president Niranjan Patnaik stated that as Rahul Gandhi has urged party workers not celebrate his birthday with much fanfare with meetings, flags, banners, placards, etc., the PCC has asked party workers and units to distribute dry rations among distressed people, help and assist Covid-19 patients, besides distributing masks, sanitisers and medical kits, etc.
