To protest the rising crimes against women and the growing minor girl rape cases in the State, the Congress would hold a State-wide agitation on Wednesday.
Informing this at a Press conference here on Tuesday, senior party leader Narasingha Mishra said the
protest would be staged in all district headquarters from 10 am to 1 pm and party leaders would submit memorandums on the issue to district Collectors.
Mishra also said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has no moral right to continue in office in view of the fast-deteriorating law and order in the State.
Earlier in the day, pandemonium continued to prevail in the State Assembly for a second consecutive day as BJP and Congress leaders demanded the Chief Minister’s resignation over the rising minor girl rape cases and incidents of missing children.
