Hundreds of Congress workers joined their leaders in the third phase of the party’s Jagaran Yatra, which was held from Manoharpur to Salepur in Cuttack district on Saturday. This was the first rally of the party in coastal Odisha.
PCC chief Prasad Harichandan, senior party leaders including Suresh Mohapatra, Md Moqim, Ramakant Mishra, district president Prakash Chandra Behera participated in the Yatra, which was also attended by AICC general secretary and State party in-charge BK Hariprasad.
like in the two previous such programmes, the Congress leaders raised the issues of farmers’ suicide, drought and irregularities in distribution of ration cards and about the law and order situation in the State in their addresses at a public meeting held at Salepur.
