The denizens of Koraput and Dasmantapur blocks have demanded immediate completion of two unfinished bridges in Doliambo in Mahadeiput panchyat and in Adamanda in Dasmantapur block which were started in 2010-11.
While the construction of the roads had begun in 2007-08, the bridges were constructed in 2010-11 on two streams. But due to lack of coordination between the officials in the Rural Development Department and the contractors, the bridges have remained unfinished. The financial allocation for each bridge was Rs 1.5 crore. Once completed, the bridges would facilitate uninterrupted communication to lulla and other parts of Dasmantpur block.
