Under the influence of a low pressure formed over the North Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood, sporadic rainfall occurred in some parts of north and south Odisha districts on Saturday.
The Met office predicted that rains or thundershower would occur at many places and heavy rainfall at one or two places in the interior Odisha in the next 24 hours.According to the evening bulletin of the local Met office here, Balangir received the highest rainfall of 83.8 mm in the last 24 hours.
