Following the rise in Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city, police and other enforcement agencies have intensified enforcement drives to ensure Covid appropriate behaviour.
On Thursday, a coaching centre at Chandi Mandir Square was sealed for violation of Covid-19 norms. The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) sealed the coaching centre after finding violation of the existing protocols issued by the State Government. Besides, the coaching centre, a shopping complex was also sealed in Cuttack for gross violation of social distancing norms issued to keep the virus spread under check.
The super market was operating from Hind Cinema premises at Ranihat. During a joint raid by Commissionerate police and CMC, it was found that the necessary social distancing norms were openly flouted . CMC Commissioner Ananya Das on day took stock of the arrangements made at the Cuttack railway station for screening returnees from high-risk States.
