Her wish to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik again after her recovery from illness seems to remain a daydream as the Government has reportedly stopped providing financial assistance for her treatment.

Aishwarya, a 12-year old girl suffering from multiple sclerosis and paralysis, along with her parents had met the Chief Minister on May 25 and the latter in turn had assured her of assistance for her treatment.

later, she was admitted at the Kalinga Hospital and the State Government provided her `1.85 lakh from the Odisha State Treatment Fund (OSTF). Now, the hospital authorities have denied further treatment as the sanctioned fund is already spent, alleged Aishwarya's father Aryabhatt.

"I was in regular touch with the Chief Minister's Office. I hoped that the officials will respond and ensure more funds for the treatment, but in vain," said Aryabhatt, who sells eggs to run his family.

Aryabhatt stated that he would sell his kidney for treatment of her daughter.

The girl, who has completely lost her vision and is suffering from paralysis because of the disease, had expressed her desire to meet the Chief Minister in May.

After coming to know about her desire from a report appearing in a local newspaper, the Chief Minister had invited her along with her parents for a personal meeting.

The family visited the Chief Minister at the Secretariat to the delight of the little girl. Moved by her plight, the Chief Minister asked officials for her proper treatment and wished her a speedy recovery.

The girl, on the other hand, has expressed her desire to see the Chief Minister again after getting well.
