Chief Minister Naveen Pantaik on Friday inaugurated a long bridge over the Biluakhai river at Sankhari Sahi in Jagatsinghpur district.
“The bridge, constructed at a cost of Rs 61.42 crore, creates direct road link from Baisi Mouza with the Jagatsinghpur district headquarters town. Besides, it lessens distance between Bhubaneswar and Jagatsinghpur and Paradip,” said the CM.
Besides, the CM laid foundation stone for a 100-bed mother and child hospital and a 10-bed ICU at the Jagatsinghpur DHH. While Rs 16.28 crore would be spent for the mother and child hospital, the ICU would come up at Rs 2.29 crore.
The CM said over 70 lakh families have been covered under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana. “Odisha will soon become a vital centre in the health services sector,” he said.
