Two employees of the Tehsildar’s office in the city were injured on Wednesday when some portions of the office roof crashed on them. The two persons, who sustained injuries on their heads and other parts of the bodes, were identified as Banabihari Palata, Moharir and Jayaram Nayak, stamp vendor. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Though the office employees have been informing their upper officials about the problem several times, nobody is paying any heed to their pleas, they alleged. The locals who usually go to the office for their land-related works said the conditions of the office buildings remain unchanged despite the Government’s claim of spending huge money on renovation of its offices across the State.
