The BMC on Wednesday closed the Rabindra Medical Hall, a popular medicine store located at Bapuji Nagar here, until further orders as one of its employees tested positive for Covid-19.

As many as 13 staffs of the shop and the proprietor were asked to undergo home quarantine for 14 days as a precautionary measure. The BMC would collect swab samples of all of them for Covid-19 test.

BMC South East Zonal Deputy Commissioner (ZDC) Anshuman Rath said staffs of the store reside in different places in the city. The store management has been asked to get details of the persons who visited the store from their database. Their phone numbers would be available in the billing database. “We told them to send individual messages asking them to contact BMC in case of symptoms,” Rath informed.
