Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated a Bhubaneswar Operations Centre (BOC), the city’s first centralised command control centre to monitor, operate, and control the existing services.
This state-of-art centre, located at the BMC Bhawani Mall in Saheed Nagar, includes a massive video wall of more than 100-feet length (with 16×2 configuration of 70 inch panels) and would be used to monitor the large volume of CCTV footages, highly sophisticated sensor data, emergency services, etc.
The command centre would keep an eye on several functions like traffic management, incident management, city surveillance, emergency services, disaster management and much more. Various external modules have been integrated into the system to provide real-time decision support.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated Smart Parks at Saheed Nagar and an Adaptive Traffic signal Control System (ATCS) at AG Square and laid foundation-stones for an Integrated Public Service Centre (IPSC) at Bapuji Nagar and a Sensory Park at Saheed Nagar.
