The State Government on Friday further extended the tenure of the Justice Madan Mohan Das Commission of Inquiry, which has been probing the multi-crore chit fund scam in the State, by six months.
The panel’s tenure was earlier scheduled to end on August 4, a notification of the Home Department said.
Notably, the commission had last month submitted its seventh interim report to the State Government. A total of 4,97,844 duped small investors have been identified by the commission till date.
