The AITUC district unit here, blaming the RBI, SEBI, the State Finance Department as well as the political leaders of the State and the Centre for the chit fund fraud, demanded refund of the investors’ hard-earned money within a month.
All responsible in the case should be brought under the ambit of enquiry as there is a nexus between elements at many layers. No non-banking financial institutions could commit fraud of the present dimension unless getting ulterior support, it said.
The Governments both at the Centre and the State, should come forward to rescue and refund the swindled amount, it demanded. “We will hold a demonstration on May 16 to press our demands,” informed AITUC district president Jayanta Das.
