Acting on an allegation of possession of disproportionate assets, Vigilance officers on Monday conducted houses and office room of Ganjam district’s Chhatrapur PH office Head Clerk Mahendra Kumar Panda and detected assets worth `61,67,511 in his and his family members’ names.
Panda’s residential house in the Nandighose Ashiyan Apartment at Ajodhya Nagar in Brahmapur and let out house at Goilundi in Berhampur and office room at Chhatrapur were simultaneously searched.
The assets detected include Nandighose Ashiyan flat worth Rs 25 lakh, three-storey building at Goilundi worth `20 lakh, bank deposits of `6,20,219 and gold and silver ornaments worth `4.90 lakh.
